OUR HISTORY
Our chapter, under the name Southern Ontario Chapter (AEESOC) received its charter in 1999, becoming the first in Canada. From its modest beginnings, the chapter has continued to grow and develop to meet the needs of the energy engineering community.
In 2020, the chapter re-branded to the Greater Toronto Area Chapter (AEEGTA) to better reflect the area we cover for our energy efficiency, conservation and sustainability events, which typically include professionals from the Toronto area.
Our regular events, occurring six times per year, cover topics in the energy efficiency, conservation and sustainability industries. We are recognized by the Engineering Institute of Canada as professional education, enabling you to earn Professional Development Hours (PDH’s) to maintain your professional certifications!
